Although quite a few of our colleagues are already enjoying their well deserved Summer Holiday, I have just arrived in Atlanta together with Susanne Visser. She has been working for Kaemingk UK & USA for just over 4 years where she started as a sales assistant straight after finishing her study International Business Management Studies at the HAN in Arnhem.
After a couple of years she was heading the Kaemingk UK back office and since a couple of months she has been promoted to Sales Manager.
Susanne has been involved in the development from our US operation right from the beginning just over three years ago. this already is her third visit to the Atlanta show. She also visited our office in Northfield (Minnesota) where she visited a number of existing and potential customers.
Susanne explains about her career: "Kaemingk is great company to work for because it is constantly looking for improvement and challenging employees to do so as well. Because of this, new opportunities evolve and you are right in the middle of it. I have therefore been able to constantly improve myself and take on more and more different responsibilities".
With 350 million people and celebrating a very traditional Christmas, the USA of course is a great opportunity for Kaemingk. Since our start in the USA we have been able to build up good relationships with a substantial number of mainly large garden centers. Most of these customers are now travelling to Aalten for a showroom visit, but a lot of the first contacts were initiated at the Fair in Atlanta.
I am therefore very much looking forward to meet up with these customers and hopefully we are able to convince a number of other people to also make the journey to The Netherlands!
